City of London Club Relies on Rendezvous

 

The City of London Club, located in the heart of the City, traces its history back to tCity of London Club Relies on Rendezvoushe 1830s. This exclusive private members’ club, located in Old Broad Street near Liverpool Street Station, was recently refurbished, and now offers state-of-the-art conference and banqueting facilities to its City membership base.

One aspect that needed no refurbishment was Rendezvous, the browser-based meeting room, conference and catering management solution from NFS. This software was installed in 2006 on a hosted basis to manage bookings and banqueting, and Ian Faul, Club Secretary, is just as happy today as on the day of installation.


“Rendezvous has dramatically simplified our booking process and freed up staff time to better follow up leads and develop new business opportunities for the Club.”

He adds: “As event and banqueting business is an important part of our revenue stream, we have been delighted to find an affordable software package to help us develop this important area of the Club’s operation.”

According to Ian the savings offered by the hosted option have played a big role both in selection of Rendezvous and continuing use. “The fact that NFS were able to deliver Rendezvous as a hosted solution, requiring no IT infrastructure investment by the Club, made the proposition even more attractive. We have never had to take on additional servers and IT support.”
