Britain’s Harrogate Centre Selects NFS for Venue Management

Harrogate International Centre (HIC), one of the UK’s largest conference centres, has selected NFS Hospitality to provide a fully integrated venue management solution for all its facilities.

Over the next three months,Rendezvous, NFS’ browser-based conference, meeting room and food and beverage management solution, will be fully implemented, providing advanced functionality for venue staff to manage enquiries, events and billings.

Kevin McHugh, Project Manager at HIC, says: “We are looking forward to using Rendezvous to help us with some important developments in the way we take the business forward. We believe that Rendezvous will provide the functionality we need, will be easy to use, and will enable our expanding operation to adopt best industry practice.

HIC expands

The Center is currently embarking on a major, mulri-million, six-year programme of expansion and refurbishment. According to Stuart Quin, Director of HIC, “This expansion programme follows a year-long feasibility study to establish how we can maintain the success we have demonstrated as one of the key event venues in the UK.

The HIC’s celebrated ‘Golden Palace’ – The Royal Hall – also re-opens next spring after its restoration. It is expected to offer HIC clients an inspiring alternative venue for corporate hospitality and theatre events.

In addition, Rendezvous will be installed in HIC’s recently acquired Sun Pavilion. This 1930s art-deco styled building offers corporate event organisers a unique venue, centrally located in beautiful gardens.
