Prestigious Henley Club sails away with NFS technology solutions |

Phyllis Court Club is
located on the banks of the River Thames
in the beautiful Oxford shire town of
Henley-on-Thames. The elegant Georgian
mansion is set in 18 acres of manicured
gardens and its sweeping lawn leads down
to the Grandstand Pavilion which
overlooks the finish line of the world
famous Henley Royal Regatta.
In December 2008 Gary Panter, IT and
Accounts Manager at the Club, took the
decision to move to a best of breed,
integrated, Club Membership, Hotel and
Events Management solution from NFS
Hospitality. “Our old system was really
not serving our members well, with poor
integration between food and |

beverage and membership and we were also not able to provide a
number of important services to our
members, for example, internet access
for members to their accounts and Club
events”.

NFS commenced with the installation of
the hotel module in January and this
will be followed by the implementation
of the IBS Club Membership solution to
manage all aspects of membership and
member accounting. The integration with
the IBS bar and restaurant solution will
mean that members can use a single card
for all aspects of their activity at the
Club, from access to the purchase of
food and drinks, all charging being
routed to a single member account. With
the benefit of this integration, Phyllis
Court also plans to introduce a member
loyalty programme. This will be
beneficial to members in terms of
rewards for expenditure and the Club
will benefit with better information on
member spending patterns and well as
having an easy way of implementing
promotions and incentives to increase
revenue in a very cost effective manner.
Gary concludes, “Our old system served us well for many years, but it was time to move to a modern technology platform. The integration between membership and food and beverage, as well as the new functionality like web-based access for our members will be key to being able to improve member services and generate better quality revenue streams based on having the right information to make important decisions.” |
