The Siemens Crystal is an exciting new visitor attraction in London’s Docklands, designed by Siemens as a sustainable cities initiative to explore the future of cities. It is one of the world’s greenest buildings, using solar power and a ground source heat pump to generate its own energy, meaning no fossil fuels are burnt within the building.
Home to the world’s largest exhibition focused on urban sustainability and a world-class centre for dialogue, discovery and learning, The Siemens Crystal hosts events from small meetings to large conferences.
With such a pedigree, Rendezvous SaaS was the obvious choice to replace a booking system that, in the words of Operations Manager Josh Palmer, was labour intensive, lacked an audit trail and was prone to mistakes.
“We chose Rendezvous SaaS because of its flexibility, simplicity and its friendly interface,” says Josh. “The solution provides a transparent diary system so all users have access to the latest availability. The Events Team at The Siemens Crystal now have more time to focus on customer service as some of the internal users can book their own meetings and equipment.“

Birmingham Botanical Gardens offer the perfect setting for banqueting, conferencing and weddings, with four venues in beautifully decorated listed buildings, and fully equipped state of the art facilities. Catering comes from award-winning caterer Ampersand, part of the CH&Co group which holds a Royal Warrant by appointment to Her Majesty The Queen as caterer.
“Ampersand chose Rendezvous because of previous experience in two of our other venues,” explains Venue Area Sales Manager Claire Phelps. “Since using Rendezvous over the past four years in other locations we have found the system straightforward to use. The team were very enthusiastic about it, so introducing the solution to Birmingham Botanical Gardens was an easy decision to make.“

Youth development, healthy living and social responsibility – those are the commitments of The YMCA Conference and Retreat Centre and YMCA Camp Arrowhead multi-property facility in Virginia.
Sitting on more than 150 acres of Virginia’s Eastern Shore, the Centre offers activities that include kayaking, archery, ping-pong, and even a 90-foot giant slide. As well as overnight accommodation, the retreat’s other amenities include a fitness centre, chapel, outdoor pavilion and amphitheatre.
To pull it all together and manage the multi-property facility has installed Rendezvous.
“I love the Monthly Rooms Calendar that enables me to see all the rooms booked in the camp and to search rooms by property,” says Jennifer Fulbright, Director of Conferences and Retreat Sales. “Being able to place a meeting or event on hold in background bookings is also very useful.“
“The activities list shows us what has been completed and what needs to be done. Now, we can search rooms by property, block rooms for Summer Camp activities, and book meetings simply straight from the calendar. Adding to or customising menu items as they change with the seasons has now also been simplified with the use of Rendezvous.“

Marywood Retreat and Conference Centre in Florida provides facilities, resources, and programmes to aid the process of spiritual renewal and faith development. The Centre is also available to the wider interfaith community as well as to non-profit and commercial groups.
On offer are conference rooms for groups of 10-180 attendees, 60 motel-style rooms, a bed and breakfast inn and a self-contained camp with sleeping for 72 guests. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, tennis courts, basketball court, picnic areas, and nature trails. A chapel with seating for up to 74 people is also available, as well as an extensive catering and food service with executive chef and dining room.
