Facilities management can be an important catalyst for change in the workplace, industry expert Luis De Souza has told a top magazine.
In the popular 10 Questions With…feature for Tomorrow’s FM Magazine, the CEO of NFS Technology outlines is hopes for the future of the profession – and how he thinks it needs to develop.
NFS provides world-leading Rendezvous space and resource booking technology to organisations in the UK, USA, South Africa and Australia.
He told the magazine: “FM has the potential to be an important catalyst for change in the workplace if elevated to the right level where the big decisions are being made that impact so many aspects of life at work.”
Luis believes FM practitioners deserve and need access to C-suite executives as the cost of real estate rises and it becomes more and more necessary to make every inch of workspace count.
But he also has a warning – the profession needs to attract the very best.
“Only the right talent joining the FM community will make this a reality,”
he said.
“I believe it’s important to attract high quality talent to the profession – good, skilled people who are able to engage at board level to drive improvement and innovation.”
