Jimmy’s World Grill & Bar, the multi-cuisine, all-you-can eat buffet restaurant, currently has ten locations around the UK – with four more coming soon. Using Aloha restaurant point of sale software enables the burgeoning chain to streamline restaurant and bar management while increasing revenue.
“Having decided to embark on a major expansion plan we soon realised the importance of using an enterprise level technology platform,” says Jimmy’s Chief Executive, Parm Uppal. “We looked around for a good product as well as a great after-sales service proposition and we are delighted that we selected the Aloha restaurant point of sale software solution from NFS.”
For Jimmy’s, one of the many benefits of Aloha is its seamless integration with the Orderman Sol hand-held device already used by waiters to take orders tableside and deliver them wirelessly to the kitchen. With a similar user interface to that of the iPod Touch, the easy-to-learn Sol uses radio frequency (RF) in place of wi-fi to prevent interference from diners using their own wi-fi devices in the vicinity.
“We have rolled out to many sites in a relatively short time,” says Parm Uppal. “Having fully integrated restaurant point of sale software, with a loyalty, EFT, mobile and control solution, makes it possible to operate more consistently. It’s an excellent platform for the central management of our business.”
NFS market and support a range of integrated facilities for bar, restaurant, and nightclub owners. With offices in the UK, Ireland, USA and South Africa, and an international customer base of more than 1,000 clients, NFS offer a fully manned, 24/7 helpdesk, with consulting and training services for all clients.
