Casual dining is on the up and up – diners around the world are predicted to spend more than £54bn this year as diners demand quicker and quicker service.
Research by Barclaycard shows that the need for speed is making customers more impatient than ever – prioritising quick service (37%) over value (21%) and menu choice (33%). But challenges from Uber-style delivery services are cutting into the market – and costs ranging from labour and supplies are on the increase. So what can casual dining establishments do to capture more guests – and keep them coming back and back again?
The answer is great restaurant technology, says Luis De Souza, CEO of NFS Technology:
“Great EPoS technology such as our Aloha solution speeds up service, reduces waste and helps deal with labour problems,” he said. “It also identifies trends you can capitalise on, provides comprehensive management reports and – best of all – helps you create a fantastic guest experience to drive up loyalty and increase spend.”
NFS Technology provides restaurant technology to a huge range of outlets including Giraffe, CAU and Dishoom. “We’re looking forward to seeing friends old and new at the Casual Dining Show this month – come and see us for some great tips to help your business survive and thrive,” said Luis.
